Dance/ Movement Therapy workshops
This workshop has been carefully designed to educate dancers on different careers in the dance world, give dancers space to talk about their mental health, learn skills to manage stress related to performance anxiety, perfectionism or competition outcomes, strengthen their relationship with dance and so much more!
This workshop offers dancers an opportunity to explore creativity, self-expression, and emotional awareness through movement. Activities are based on principles of Dance Movement Therapy (DMT), which uses movement, body awareness, and creative expression to support well-being, connection, and personal growth.
Dancers may be invited to engage in guided movement activities, creative exploration, reflection, and group interaction in a supportive and respectful environment.
These workshops are designed to promote creativity, emotional expression, and body awareness in a group setting. While the activities are informed by therapeutic practices, this workshop is not a substitute for individual psychotherapy or mental health treatment.
Participants are encouraged to participate at their own pace, respect their own physical limits, and communicate with the facilitator if they need support or wish to take a break at any time.
